"Voices from the Trunk" is a touching biography by my grandmother, Norene “Luallen” Homan, about her parents, Elmer and Mary Luallen, separated during World War II. Elmer served in London as a B-17 Bomber mechanic while Mary stayed behind. They communicated solely through letters sent across the ocean, and the book captures their enduring love amidst wartime challenges, symbolized by a trunk filled with their preserved letters against London's iconic Ben clock.
